The boy was left with minor injuries to his face and neck, Hampshire and IW Constabulary said. Police were called to Thorness Holiday Park on Thorness Lane in Cowes shortly after 4.15pm. A 35-year-old woman from Waterlooville and a 47-year-old man from Portsmouth were both arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The man was additionally arrested on suspicion of intentional strangulation. Both remain in custody.
