Vietcombank and Virtusa have launched a multi-year programme to build VCB Corporate DigiBank, a greenfield digital banking platform that will eventually support account management, payments, lending, trade finance, foreign exchange, collections and investment services from a unified technology stack. Instead of incrementally modernising existing infrastructure, the bank is creating a greenfield platform built specifically for corporate banking. The investment is particularly significant because corporate banking has generally lagged retail banking in digital user experience.
