HQA Shadow is rising in the North, but a shadow drop has hit the Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam Stores as The Lord of the Rings: War in the North - Legacy Edition has made its debut, almost 15 years since the original launched.
The remaster dropped largely out of nowhere, but is already garnering attention as it brings a solid RPG from Tolkien's world to modern machines.
While it might not be as beloved as the co-op sensation Battle for Middle-earth, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North does offer a unique experience in that it's inspired by the original books and movies, but lets us experience a largely untold story alongside them.
We delve into the story of Agandaûr, a Black Númenórean and servant of Sauron who has rallied an immense force in the ruins of Fornost.
It's especially nice for PC players, as The Lord of the Rings: War in the North had been delisted from the Steam Store since 2019.
