J.J. Watt has finally addressed his role with CBS Sports in the absence of Tony Romo ahead of the 2026 NFL season. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback was expected to continue as the lead game analyst alongside Jim Nantz this season. Having previously been on the second broadcast team, Watt has now been promoted to the lead crew to fill the void. The former Houston Texans defensive end will work alongside Nantz and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson in his new role.
