According to the official spokesperson for the Joint Forces stationed along the western coast, the unmanned aerial vehicles were detected and neutralized before reaching their intended targets. The statement underscored that the attempted attack was part of ongoing Houthi operations aimed at destabilizing the western front, but confirmed that the defenses successfully prevented damage to the city. Mokha, located near the strategic Bab al‑Mandeb Strait, has been a frequent target of Houthi missile and drone assaults in recent weeks, raising concerns over civilian safety and maritime security in the area.
