Flooring company boss Ronald Dowling, 66, crashed his personalised Maserati Ghibli whilst driving without due care and attention. Mum Sharon Berry died following the collision on the dual carriageway - and two other women, including Dowling's wife Kim, were seriously injured. Dowling admitted an offence of causing death by careless driving and two charges causing serious injury by careless driving at Newport Crown Court and was warned he could be jailed. The court heard the offences took place along the A4042 at New Inn on October 26, 2023. Dowling, of Salop Street in Caerphilly, will next appear at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court for sentencing on October 9.
