Gwent Police received a report of a stolen vehicle on Commercial Street at around 4.35am. The car was later spotted on CCTV travelling towards the A469 from Gilfach Street. The vehicle was found abandoned, but PD Lando tracked the suspects through woodland and housing estates to a nearby house. A spokesman for Gwent Police said:"We received a report of a stolen vehicle on Commercial Street, Pengam at around 4.35am on Monday 10 August. Following a pursuit, the car was disabled using a stinger device and the driver reportedly left the scene.
