The Pineapple Inn in Shaw took home the title from the annual Proper Pub awards, which took place in Chesterfield last month. Landlord Andy Parkes also DJs at the Town Hall Tavern in Oldham town centre, which was also nominated in the Entertainment Pub category. Commenting on the win, Mr Parkes said: "We are so proud to have been awarded Entertainment pub of the year. "We are pleased as well that The Town Hall Tavern got second place with a highly commended Award.
