Mr Horner departed Red Bull in 2025 after around 20 years in charge of the team, officially leaving the outfit last September. According to F1 Oversteer, the New Zealander's chances of driving for Red Bull again would have been slim had Horner remained in charge of the team. After races in Australia and China, Red Bull opted to replace him with Tsunoda, ending Lawson's stint with the senior team after just two Grands Prix. Speculation over Lawson's long-term future has continued as Red Bull evaluates its driver line-up ahead of future seasons. However, F1 Oversteer reports that Horner would not have supported a move to bring the Kiwi driver back to the main Red Bull team following his earlier struggles.
