A dog is dead and two people are hospitalized after a house fire on Dennis Drive early Wednesday morning. Crews responded to the incident around 4:07 a.m. Officials said the fire originated in the breezeway of a single-family home and was brought under control within an hour. WATCH HERE WATCH HERENew Britain Assistant Fire Chief Peter Towey said the three occupants inside the house were evacuated by the time crews arrived. Assistant Fire Chief Towey said there is substantial damage throughout the structure. The extent of the injuries for the two people that were hospitalized are unknown at this time.
