Pupils applying through clearing are advised to have their clearing number, UCAS ID number, course name and code, personal statement, grades, and any questions you might when calling universities for clearing.

If a student hasn’t been rejected yet, they are encouraged to contact their chosen university, as they may still be considered for the course with lower grades.
For students pushed into Clearing, Dr Katharine Ayivor-Nygard said: "Keep some perspective; Clearing is now a mainstream route, not a consolation prize, and when UCAS asks, more than nine in ten students placed this way say they're confident in their choice."
Oxford Brookes University typically has more staff on hand to help students through the Clearing process and usually holds another open day for prospective students.
