RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2026) Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has been put on high alert in view of the forecast of rains in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, with emergency personnel deployed around Nullah Lai and other low-lying areas. According to Rescue 1122 Media Coordinator Muhammad Usman Gujjar, rescue personnel have been deployed in Katarian, Gawalmandi and other vulnerable areas and will remain on duty throughout the rainy spell. Parents were advised to prevent children from going near Nullah Lai and electricity poles during rain. In view of the risk of heavy rains and cloudbursts, people were advised to avoid visiting tourist destinations during severe weather. In case of any emergency, citizens were urged to immediately contact Rescue 1122 at its helpline 1122.
