Ronald Tagwireyi, who is originally from Zimbabwe, has been named as the new head of Refugee Sanctuary Scotland (RSS), which operates in Glasgow and Edinburgh and is planning an expansion into Aberdeen. Ronald has extensive expertise in the uncertain world which asylum seekers inhabit, having held posts as chair of the strategy committee of the Scottish Refugee Council and co-chair of Migration Exchange’s advisory group. “The biggest help we can offer is accommodation and we currently are housing 17 people in nine flats in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh and, as UK dispersal policy extends to Aberdeen, we hope to be able to offer facilities there from the end of the year.”
