Cllr John Beckingham, who serves as the deputy mayor of Kidderminster and as Conservative councillor for Blakebrook & Habberley South on Kidderminster Town Council, was co-opted to represent the Areley Kings East Ward on Stourport Town Council in July. Cllr Beckingham has now been welcomed to Stourport Town Council by Worcestershire County Councillor Karl Perks. According to Cllr Beckingham, he has already been working alongside Cllr Perks on a range of community issues in the area. Councillor Beckingham said: "It is a privilege to serve on Stourport Town Council and represent the community I call home. "I'm delighted to welcome him to Stourport Town Council, and I look forward to continuing to work together for our communities."
