A new litter bin installed on Lowndes Road in Wollaston, Stourbridge, now bears a commemorative plaque in recognition of Rosemary Fryer, a well-known figure in the Beauty Bank area who has devoted years to keeping the neighbourhood clean.
Armed with her shopping trolley, the volunteer has long been a regular sight collecting rubbish along Bradley Road and Lowndes Road.
"When I saw a new bin being installed on Lowndes Road by Revelan as part of their S106 commitments, I knew."
"I just knew that this had to be Rosemary’s bin."
Residents are encouraged to continue supporting her mission by using the bin and helping to keep Wollaston litter-free.
