Brain researchers are among winners of NZ$150,000 Explorer grants, as system reform drags onNew Zealand’s Health Research Council has awarded 20 new grants under its Explorer programme, saying the money will go towards research that has “a good chance of making a revolutionary change to how we manage health in New Zealand”. The grants, announced on 5 August, range from work on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder to how vaccination may help prevent dementia.
