Cornell women’s soccer came up just short in a 2-1 loss to Harvard on Saturday at Berman Field, despite a strong second-half push during Homecoming and Alumnae Weekend. Harvard broke through in the 56th minute and doubled its lead less than three minutes later with a strike from distance. Cornell answered in the 68th minute when senior midfielder Abigail Bishara intercepted a clearance and buried a long-range shot from 35 yards out. The goal, her second of the season, cut the deficit in half and energized the Big Red attack. Box ScoreThe Big Red now turns to a three-match road swing, beginning Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Lafayette, where Cornell will look to extend its perfect all-time record against the Leopards.
