It's worth remembering, too, that most of the Council's investment to tackle climate change came from central government grants - and it is all used on an "invest-to-save" basis, meaning projects were delivering financial savings whilst also helping to tackle climate change. The fire reminds me that we need to do more to tackle climate change, not less. Not government, not councils, not campaigners alone - all of us must work to protect our county and our planet, together. Tackling climate change and restoring nature should be something that we all unite behind - with no ideology, and no motivation other than to protect our planet. This is one of the greatest threats to our country, our county, our natural environment, and our community of all time.
