Suffolk Constabulary was called at 6.25am on Wednesday to reports of a car crashing through an East Anglian Children's Hospice (EACH) shopfront in Felixstowe Road, near the junction with Levington Road. Emergency services were called to the scene, and a person has been taken to hospital for further care. A spokesman for the police said that "quite extensive damage" had happened to both the car and the shop. The vehicle cannot be moved until the damage to the building has been assessed. A spokesman for EACH said that the shop will remain closed until a structural engineer has confirmed the safety of the building.
