BEMIDJI — The unofficial results have been tabulated following Minnesota's primary election on Tuesday, determining who will advance to the general election on Nov. 3.
ADVERTISEMENTNews Bemidji voters head to polls for primary election For Bemidji voters, the primary election includes several statewide races, the Bemidji City Council's At-Large seat and a change in voting location for Ward 1 residents.
Thayer has represented Bemidji at-large since 2022, when she defeated Johnson after receiving 50.15% of the vote, or 2,346 votes, compared to Johnson’s 2,293.
Johnson served on the Bemidji City Council Ward 3 for 24 years and retired from a 43-year career with Lakeland PBS in 2023.
