Blackpool Council is on the hunt for a development partner to deliver its housing-led regeneration masterplan in the town, backed by £90.4m of Homes England grant funding.
Forming part of Blackpool’s wider 15-year housing regeneration strategy, the project will see the redevelopment of a 13-acre site near the town centre, alongside the creation of 230 energy-efficient homes.
According to Blackpool Council, it is seeking a development partner with skills and a track record in large-scale regeneration, placemaking, funding and delivery.
Council leader Lynn Williams said: “People who live in central Blackpool deserve quality housing, nice neighbourhoods and green spaces where they want to raise their children.
The council is inviting development and regeneration partners to provide feedback on the delivery ahead of a formal tender in early autumn.
