Police were called after reports of a teenage boy had been inappropriately touched over his clothing in a sexual assault at St Patrick’s recreation ground in Charvil. The incident occurred around 7.21pm on Sunday, August 9, and involved a boy who had previous contact with the man online. A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended the scene and a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child. "Our investigation into this incident continues and we would ask the public to avoid speculation online and retain the victim’s legal right to anonymity under the Sexual Offences Act."
