The event, taking place on Saturday, September 12, will focus on the 'everyday histories' of police families who once lived in the building. Before becoming the home of Thornbury Town Council, the town hall served as a police station and provided accommodation for police families. Visitors will have the chance to discover what everyday life was like for these Victorian families. Displays and activities, organised with the help of Thornbury Museum, will bring the stories of the town hall’s former residents to life. A spokesperson said: "Come along and discover the people, families and everyday lives behind Thornbury Town Hall’s history on Saturday 12th September 2026 from 10am to 2pm.
