Beacon Community Church is hosting a free event at The Beacon arts venue in Wibsey Park from 2pm to 4pm. Families will be invited to craft items to take home, based on a story from the Bible. There will also be singing, dancing and things are expected to “get a bit messy.” Beacon Community Church (formerly Slackside Church) is part of the Wesleyan Reform Union of Churches and has been sharing the Christian message in Wibsey for nearly 200 years. As well as the usual Christian services and Messy Church they have community activities with chairobics, pilates, choir, Asian Christian fellowship, Alzheimer’s support café, toddler group, baby massage etc.
