Fareham Borough Council has appointed Neilcott Construction Ltd to deliver the Fareham Park Community Centre, with a full planning application now submitted for the scheme. Frair Burgess, councillor responsible for leisure and community, said: "This is an exciting moment for the community of Fareham Park. "Submitting the planning application is an important step towards delivering a much-needed new community facility." Designed in collaboration with residents and community groups, the proposed centre will offer more than 800 square metres of flexible space—four times larger than the existing 1990s building. Facilities will include a main hall, secondary hall, youth and pre-school areas, a counselling room, kitchen and social spaces.
