Pride & Prejudice* (*sort of), a bold retelling of Jane Austen’s classic, will run at Mayflower Theatre from March 3 to 6, 2027. The production is one of the most successful touring shows in recent years and is directed by its award-winning writer, Isobel McArthur. Rhys Thomas, director of Chelmsford Theatre, said: "This hugely exciting collaboration with the renowned David Pugh will be Chelmsford Theatre’s first co-production in recent years. "Pride & Prejudice* (*sort of) is a simply marvellous show that charmed our audiences when it first came to Chelmsford in 2024. Sound design is by Michael John McCarthy and Niamh Gaffney for Autograph, with assistant direction by Finlay Glen.
