Dorset Museum & Art Gallery is seeking support from the public, businesses, and organisations to help enhance Mary Anning – Fossil Hunter, which will be on display from January 30, 2027 to May 2, 2027. Claire Dixon, executive director at Dorset Museum, said: "The Mary Anning exhibition is a significant moment for Dorset Museum & Art Gallery. Portrait of Mary Anning, oil, possibly by William Gray, 1842. Anning, who lived from 1799 to 1847, made ground-breaking fossil discoveries in Lyme Regis in the early 1800s.
