Officers confiscated the scooter on The Esplanade last night after the same rider had been reported on Monday evening for pulling wheelies and riding in a dangerous manner through the crowded seafront area. Police seized the e-scooter on Weymouth Esplanade (Image: Dorset Police)A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "This evening, officers seized an e-scooter after it was seen being ridden along The Esplanade by the same male rider who had been reported on Monday evening. "On that occasion, the rider was seen pulling wheelies and riding in a dangerous manner through the crowded seafront area, putting both himself and others at risk." The e-scooter was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. The rider had no driving licence and the e-scooter was not insured.
