Bordering the Quantocks, Crowcombe Estate spans an impressive mix of moorland, Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), upland and lowland grazing, arable fields and extensive woodland. That diversity has inspired estate manager Jim Laver, Annabel Trollope-Bellew and the estate team to rethink how every part of the holding can deliver for farming and wildlife. The estate is steadily increasing numbers of Red Ruby Devon cattle, North Country Mule sheep and native breed pigs. Following significant change in recent years, Annabel, her family and the estate team are looking firmly ahead, with nature and productive farming at the heart of every decision.
