The Sanctuary Care-run Upton Dene Residential and Nursing Home in Chester has launched a monthly Veterans’ Breakfast Club to welcome veterans from across the community. Residents at Upton Dene include veterans such as 102-year-old Tom Parker and fellow resident Tony Roberts. Support for veterans at Upton Dene also comes from team leader Clare Moynihan, a former Army sergeant who served for nine years. Ms Alexopoulos said that the breakfast club is intended to help veterans remain connected to one another and to their broader community. Upton Dene Residential and Nursing Home is located on Caldecott Close in Chester, CH2 1FD.
