The charity made the change after an increase in items being left in its onsite donation bay that are no longer usable. A spokesman for the charity said: "Unfortunately, we've recently seen an increase in items being left in our onsite donation bay that are no longer usable. To cut disposal costs and ensure resources are directed towards animal care, the organisation will now only accept animal-related goods in its onsite donation bay. The spokesman said charity shops remain open to receive other donations. He said: "Our charity shops remain open as normal and will still be delighted to receive your good-quality clothing, homeware, books, toys, bric-a-brac, and other saleable items."
