It is for Brampton Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW), near Brampton, and the work would involve the installation of what is known as a motor control centre (MCC) kiosk.
It states: “The package of works being brought forward at Brampton WWTW require additional control systems and these will be housed in the proposed MCC kiosk that requires planning permission.”
According to the letter United Utilities is required to ensure that its facilities are able to meet the increasing demands placed upon them by population growth, climate change and stricter environmental regulations.
It concludes: “The proposed development accords with the requirements of the development plan and will enable United Utilities to meet the regulatory requirements.
We therefore commend this planning application to the council and request that it be approved without delay.”
