Work is taking place on what used to house Skylark, and is next to Baker’s, on Blackburn Road, Egerton, a café and restaurant that has served the community for more than a decade, and decking around the front has appeared at its previously neighbouring business. (Image: NQ)The shop owners retired in the past year, leaving the business vacant, but now the veranda and decking at the front, similar to Baker’s, have appeared. Baker’s and formerly Skylark’s building is understood to be fully owned as one property. The manager at Baker’s, said they were not expanding the business but said the development is to aesthetically improve the whole building.
