Organised by Severn Together: Communities in Action, the canoe journey will run from September 1–6, 2026. "The future of the River Severn belongs to everyone who lives, works and travels through the catchment. Flooding has become an annual challenge for many communities along the River Severn, affecting homes, businesses, farms, and transport networks. Severn Together: Communities in Action brings together residents, Flood Action Groups, and local stakeholders who are advocating for practical, long-term water management solutions. Their goals include uniting communities, amplifying local voices, and securing delivery of the Severn Valley Water Management Scheme.
