Writer and cartoonist Matthew Williams completed the Liverpool and Chester route on July 5, raising £1,226 from 42 supporters for Charles Thompson’s Mission. He crossed the finish line at around 4pm following what he described as an “extremely arduous” ride. In an update shared afterwards, he said: “Crossed the finish line around 4pm today. “Once again, thank you so much for everyone’s generosity to Charles Thompson’s Mission. Charles Thompson's Mission has provided support for homeless and impoverished people across Birkenhead and Wirral since 1892.
