Liscard Convenience Store on Liscard Road in Wallasey was handed a three-month closure order at Liverpool Magistrates Court following evidence of persistent illegal activity. Mr Karimi agreed to the destruction of the goods, but illegal activity continued at the premises. In February this year, police found more suspected illegal cigarettes and foreign-labelled goods during another visit. Dave Bradburn, director of public health for Wirral Council, said: "The illicit tobacco trade undermines years of progress in reducing smoking harm. "If any residents know or have suspicions of illegal activity, they can report it anonymously using Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
