The Metropolitan Transport Company (EMT) announced that full service on Line 2C of the Santo Domingo Metro went live on Monday following the successful completion of its trial run (marcha blanca) and all corresponding technical and operational testing.With the comprehensive opening of this line, passengers no longer need to transfer at the María Montez station and can now enjoy a continuous journey to Los Alcarrizos without changing trains.The EMT also noted that the free-fare period implemented during the trial phase will end this coming Sunday, 16 August 2026, after which standard Metro fares will apply.
