An Amber heat health alert has been issued today for the South East region, warning of increased risks to health during a period of hot weather. The alert runs from 12pm on Tuesday 11th August to 9pm on Friday 14th August 2026. Hot weather health risksProlonged heat can make people unwell and worsen existing medical conditions. The risks include heat exhaustion and, in more serious cases, heatstroke.
