The outside of The Anchor pub. In contrast to my previous Pub of the Week trips, I was stopping off for some dinner rather than a spot of lunch, so the atmosphere was different. The small bar added character and this is something I'm a big fan of in a pub. My meal at the anchor, the beef with rice and veg. What I could never fault was the ambiance of the pub, the atmosphere, the cosy décor that made me look forward to a winters visit.
