Concerns over staff working hour changes at community day service

Concerns were reportedly expressed about a proposed change to working patterns at the service (Image: Supplied)But fears have now been expressed about the risk of staff working less hours, but providing the same level of care in a shorter timeframe.
A source who asked to remain anonymous said that staff were reportedly told about the proposed change in working patterns at a meeting.
A spokeswoman for FitzRoy said the changes are intended "to align working patterns with the service the Maltings is commissioned and funded to provide".
They also confirmed that there were "no proposals" to close the Maltings and there would be no alteration to the service people receive, nor any change to opening hours, staffing required, or transport arrangements.
The spokeswoman added: "We are currently consulting with staff and their representatives about proposed changes to staff working patterns at the Maltings day service.
