The Llangollen Railway Trust, which operates a line running for ten miles through the Dee Valley between Llangollen and Corwen, is celebrating its golden anniversary with a year of special events and renewed membership appeals. The trust, with nearly 1,000 members and around 400 active volunteers, supports one of Wales' leading heritage railways connecting Llangollen and Corwen. Peter Holton of the Llangollen Railway Trust membership team said: "There has never been a better time to become a member. "You only need to visit the railway a few times during the year to make back the cost of membership." The trust has also unveiled a packed programme of events for the rest of the year.
