Royal Avenue in Widnes will be affected by temporary traffic restrictions as Cadent Gas is set to upgrade gas mains and services. The restrictions will start from August 24 and are expected to last for approximately 21 days. Halton Borough Council has announced the temporary traffic ban under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. During this period, no vehicles will be allowed to enter or proceed along Royal Avenue. While the actual work is anticipated to take around three weeks, the order can legally remain in place for up to 18 months.
