Local people are being encouraged to become foster carers and help children and young people in Bury stay in the area. In a post on Facebook, Bury Council said: “Could you help provide a Bury home for a Bury child? “Bury Council is looking for more local people to become foster carers and help children and young people stay connected to the communities they know and love. "Many foster carers bring valuable experience from parenting, caring roles, teaching, youth work, health and social care, or simply from life itself.
