Blue Cross in Radcliffe has reported an 'unprecedented' rise in unwanted litters, with 42 kittens taken in during the first half of this year alone, matching the total number for the whole of last year. Stephanie Wood, centre manager at Blue Cross, said: "I have never seen kittens coming in for help on a scale like this. "Every day we are being asked to help with multiple cases of pregnant mums, unplanned litters and abandoned kittens that have been discovered in boxes by members of the public. Blue Cross is currently seeking homes for 8-week-old kittens Gamma and UV. To view animals available for rehoming, visit the Blue Cross website at bluecross.org.uk.
