Jake Turner, 19, from Naburn in York, and Declan Kiely, 23, from Bedford, are riding the just over 400-mile route from Edinburgh Waverley to London King's Cross in support of Cancer Research UK. The journey honours the 400,000 people diagnosed with cancer in the UK each year. Mr Turner said: "I’ve seen people close to me overcome cancer and what a huge impact cancer has had on their lives. Mr Kiely added: "I’m proud to be supporting Cancer Research UK’s efforts to find new ways to prevent and treat cancer. "Several of my relatives have battled cancer, including my grandad who died 10 years ago, and I’m glad that I can do something to help beat cancer for good."
