During the assessment, the CQC highlighted several areas where improvements were needed to enhance access to adult social care and support.
This was particularly evident for young people transitioning from children's to adult services, who often found the experience confusing.
Mary Cridge, CQC’s director of adult social care, said: “The local authority also needed to improve reablement services to reduce its reliance on care placements and provision.
Our improvement plan is now being embedded across Adult Social Care, supported by new senior leadership arrangements, better staff morale and higher resident satisfaction.
The council has also noted some specific areas of improvement, including the wait time for occupation therapy, which has been reduced by 68 per cent.
