Police issue appeal after road users complain of biker allegedly doing 100mph near Black Gaet

Police ScotlandPolice have appealed for anyone who witnessed a motorcyclist driving dangerously at the Black Gaet yesterday (Tuesday) to get in touch.
Chief Inspector Chris Sewell issued the appeal after social media reports alleged a biker reached speeds of 100mph.
According to one post on the Shetland Road Conditions page, the motorcyclist had been going back and forth near to the junction on multiple occasions while at high speed.
Other drivers reported similar encounters with the bikerMr Sewell said: “Police Scotland is aware of images circulating on social media of a motorcyclist apparently driving dangerously at the Black Gaet”“Anyone driving at excessive speed on Shetland’s roads places not only themselves, but other road users at risk.”
“I would encourage anyone with dashcam footage to report it to Police Scotland on 101.”
