School wins national award for commitment to developing students' skills

Lawn Manor Academy was honoured for its commitment to embedding essential life and work skills into its curriculum, including Teamwork, Problem Solving and Speaking.
This is one of fewer than 60 gold and silver awards this year for essential skills education.
Dr Michael Englard, UK chief executive at Skills Builder Partnership, said: "Congratulations to Lawn Manor Academy on their Skills Builder Silver Award.
"It’s been a privilege working with them as they build essential skills into the work of their school.
