Asa James “Ace” Grobey, 26, of Dickinson, N.D., formerly of Nezperce, passed away at his home Thursday, July 30, 2026. Asa was born May 6, 2000, in Nezperce, to Carl and Jennifer Grobey, as the sixth of eight children. Asa displayed a unique gift of ingenuity and had a knack for bringing ideas to life. Asa loved to make his own metal castings, smelting scrap metal in a foundry he built from scratch. Asa and his brothers loved their collective ability to put into motion any of the wild schemes they contrived, and their ingenuity became known far and wide.
