The University of Idaho is asking the state for approval to construct three new buildings on the Moscow campus, including a “Top Secret Facility.” The Idaho State Board of Education will consider these capital projects during its meetings Wednesday and Thursday. According to meeting materials, the Top Secret Facility is a proposed 3,360-square-foot research facility for the College of Engineering. The UI is asking for $5.6 million in state funds for the $8.3 million project. The most expensive project is a proposed 100,000-square-foot, four-story building that will serve as a new engineering and science facility.
